Design considerations.  Lotus & Feather is a story about friendship and healing. I chose typography that echoed the sensitive watercolor illustrations. I worked closely with the illustrator and creative director to ensure the art was culturally appropriate and brought the author’s vision to life.

Visualizing sound.  Ellie in Concert is a story in which Ellie the elephant sets out to create a symphony of animal sounds to help her friend Lucy sleep. I worked closely with the author-illustrator to conceptualize how sounds, noise and music were to be depicted in the art and typography.

Playful elements. Alice & Lucy Will Work for Bunk Beds is a story about two sisters who decide to work at a bakery. I loved the textures in the illustrations and used them to bring cohesion to the endpapers and jacket flaps.
